💡 The Cape's water is cold year-round, from about 8°C on the Atlantic side to the high teens in False Bay, so a full wetsuit (often 4/3mm or thicker) is needed. Reef breaks like Dungeons and Cave-style spots are powerful and expert-only, and conditions swing fast with swell, wind and tide — check a forecast first.
