Angling around the Cape's two oceans — galjoen and hottentot off the West Coast rocks, kob and steenbras in the estuaries, and tuna and yellowtail from Cape Point and Struisbaai. Shore marks, ski-boat clubs, charters and tackle, filterable by region and type.
💡 A SA marine recreational fishing permit (Post Office) is required to fish, with bag and size limits and closed seasons — galjoen is closed to fishing from mid-October to end-February, and white steenbras is catch-and-release only. Some shore lies in marine protected areas (Langebaan, Agulhas, Walker Bay) with extra rules.
