💡 Cape waters are cold — False Bay is roughly 12-18°C and the Atlantic side often 8-14°C, so a thick wetsuit or drysuit is essential. Much of the coast lies in marine protected areas (Table Mountain NP, West Coast NP) needing a permit, usually arranged by your operator; shark and deep-wreck dives are advanced-only.
