💡 Aliwal Shoal, Protea Banks and the iSimangaliso reefs (Sodwana, Cape Vidal, Kosi Bay) are Marine Protected Areas — a dive permit and, in iSimangaliso, reserve entry are required, usually arranged by your operator. Shark and deep reef dives are advanced-only with strong currents.
